#086 - Necklace Horseshoe - GOLD
Small solid 14ct Gold Horseshoe charm with japanese beads on a short or long Sterling Silver necklace, vintage patinated.
The horseshoe is a widely known symbol of luck. The iron was forged to protect the hoof of the valuable horse. In all countries where horses were needed for transport and labor, the horseshoe became a symbol of hope and good fortune.
A horseshoe was nailed to the housewall, sailors attached it to ship masts to avert misfortune, mischief and disease, it should protect against evil spirits.
The embossing form was hand engraved in 1905 in Pforzheim, Germany. We collect these steel tools and have around 700.
The last picture shows both chain lengths in comparison. We recommend the long chain.
